This Week in Children's Ministries

Spotlight on Bolder Force
Bolder Force is for children, 4th-6th Grade.  It meets once a month on the 3rd Sunday of the month, 5:30-7pm.  This month they will be participating in a service project to assist the ministry of "For the Nations DC".

The missions statement of For the Nations DC is: To offer hope and help to immigrant families through quality English instruction while aiding students in cultural navigation and community resource connections. We proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ as the ultimate hope of healing for the brokenness we all experience.

The missions project is for the Bolder Force kids to assemble snack bags for the FTNDC Literacy Club children.  FTNDC hosts an evening Kids Literacy Club at a local apartment complex.  The international kids spend 90 minutes with our volunteers playing games, practicing their phonics, and reading in groups.  At the end of the evening, they have small group time where students share their needs, and the volunteer leader prays for them.  As the children leave, they get a snack bag!

Jessica Kassa, our Bolder Force Coordinator, has sent an email with information to the Bolder Force families.  If you did not receive it, please let us know.  Thanks!
